House-dust mite (Fam. Pyroglyphidae Gen.Dermatophagoies) is a common inhabitant of human houses. It is the most allergenic component of the house dust. In Russia the dominant species of the house-dust mite are D. farinae and D. pteronyssinus. A lot of people have a sensitization to this mite. They are a reason of the atopic diseases and quality of life impairment. Allergen specific immunotherapy (ASIT) can help people to rise their quality of life level. Allergologists throughout the world have a big experience of using ASIT with dust-mite allergens. The most modern way of ASIT is the sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT). A lot of studies showed high efficiency and safety of SLIT in comparison with other methods.
