Improvement of methods for allergen extracts standardization: from PNU to LC-MS

This article reviews the questions of production, standardization and application in Russia and abroad of diagnostic and therapeutic allergenic extracts used in allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT). Reports assessing the quality of biological products prepared according to regulatory documents using biological, immunochemical and modern physico-chemical methods (methods of in vitro and in vivo diagnostics) are considered. The procedure for full birch pollen extract standardization by liquid chromatography chromato-massspectrometry (LC-MS) developed on the basis of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University is given as an example.
