Immunodeficiency and autoimmunity phenotypes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

The analysis of immunodeficiency in «chronic bronchitis» phenotype of COPD associated with infections was conducted. The signs of autoimmune reactions of «emphysema» phenotype in COPD have been discussed. Immunological phenotypes in COPD - immunodeficiency and autoimmunity were divided based on the analysis of two studies. The first phenotype is associated with the clinical phenotype «chronic bronchitis», the second – with «emphysema».
