Objective: To study the properties of the granulated form of the mixed-allergen from Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Der.p.) and Dermatophagoides farinae (Der.f.). Methods: Immunodot was used for determination of allergens in the experimental preparation. Guinea pigs were immunized to study the immunogenic properties of the experimental allergen (ÅÀ), this was followed by the study of animal blood serum by ELISA. Results: It has been proved, that the granulated form of the mixed-allergen from Der.p. and Der.f. has an allergen specific activity. The ÅÀ causes a statistically significant increase of specific IgG antibodies to Der.p. and Der.f. among immunized Guinea pigs compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results indicate possible therapeutic efficacy of the ÅÀ in sublingual immunotherapy. |
