The review describes the current methods of Salmonella molecular subtyping (molecular serotyping, MLST, PFGE, MLVA, WGS) that are used in the surveillance and outbreak investigation. Their methodological basis and the degree of implementation in laboratory practice around the world are presented, with focus on the subtyping approaches based on whole genome sequencing and existing international data analysis platforms "Pathogene Detection" and "Enterobase". |
