Severity assessment for acute allergic reactions

Information concerning new approaches to severity estimation of acute allergic reactions developed and presented by AAAAI experts in 2021 is summarized in the article. The relevance of using unified severity criteria of acute allergic reactions is analyzed; basic classification tools (gradations and subgradations) are determined for each type of symtomocomplex (cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, gastrointestinal, skin and mucosal /angioedema); graphic variant of severity determination algorithm adapted and translated into Russian is presented; criteria for subgradation assignent as "mild, moderate and severe" for each symptom type are described in detail. The results of estimating the severity degree of acute allergic reactions on the own sample of patients are presented; the effectiveness of the method is shown; suggestions concerning the improvement of the method are made.
