The aim of this study was to increase the efficiency of biocarrier surface binding when constructing erythrocyte diagnosticums, providing for an improvement in indirect hemagglutination test (IHA) sensitivity. In the production of antigenic melioidosis diagnosticum for IHA, sodium alkylsulfate (SDS) was additionally used along with tannin at the stage of processing formalinized sheep erythrocytes. The combined use of these activators contributes to a significant rise of binding capacity of the erythrocyte carrier, which made it possible to increase the sensitivity of the IHA-diagnosticum 2-4-fold. The possibility of obtained preparation use for detection of melioidosis antibodies in sera of both immunized and animals with melioidosis was shown. |
