The investigation of apoptogenic activity of pertussis preparations

The object of this study was to investigate apoptogenic activity of pertussis preparation to immunocompetent cells of mise and pigs. Apoptosis was evaluated by characteristic morphological changes of cells in preparations stained with histological dyes as well as cytofluorimetric analysis with propidium iodide coloring on cytofluorimeter «Coulter». The comparative investigation of pertussis preparations established that pertussis toxin and AKDC possess most hith apoptogenic activity. It was established that immunocompetent cells of mise, particular macrophages, most sensitive to apoptpsis. It is possible what high apoptogenic activity of AKDC leads to development of postvaccinal immunodeficit.
